My ACDF Surgery Weight Loss Power Smoothie
I love my ACDF Surgery Weight Loss Power Smoothie. It's delicious and creamy like ice cream, but so much more nutritious. Packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and plant-based protein, it really helps to support healing after ACDF or any other surgery, illness, or injury.
I designed this recipe for people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). It blends easily (in most blenders, sometimes you'll need to add a little more liquid if your blender chokes), tastes delicious, and supports weight loss, gut health, and inflammation reduction.
Perfect for anyone recovering from neck surgery, dealing with reduced appetite, or looking for a nutrient-dense meal replacement smoothie.
Great for: ACDF recovery, post-surgery nutrition, soft food diets, weight loss without dieting, high-fiber smoothies, anti-inflammatory eating, satisfying your sweet tooth.

2 Servings
Ingredients
8 oz unsweetened soymilk (or any non-dairy milk of your choice)
1/2 cup frozen broccoli
1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 ripe frozen banana (cut into small pieces before freezing)
1 cup baby greens
Baby and regular spinach or a baby spinach/baby kale blend works best
Avoid arugula — the flavor is too strong for this recipe
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender.
Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
For a thicker, “soft-serve ice cream” texture, add less liquid.
Enjoy with a spoon or a straw — whichever is easier for swallowing.
Share with a loved one, refrigerate (it'll be good for up to 24 hours) or
freeze leftovers, then defrost before eating.
Optional Add-Ins (Customizable)
1–2 tbsp oats (extra fiber + thickness)
1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseed (omega-3s for inflammation)
A small handful of cashews (adds richness + plant-based protein)
A dash of cinnamon or vanilla extract
1–2 tbsp nut or seed butter (if you need more calories)
Calcium/Magnesium/Vitamin D pills (to help with bone growth)
